  • looks like a good way to tear the molding off of your doorway
  •  » quote
  • exactly what I was thinking, these apartments aren't really made for that sort of thing
  •  » quote
  • I set it up in my office. Did a few and it seems fine. First thing I bought off of tv.
  •  » quote
  • yeah i've had a similar thing for a couple years. works great. kinda scratches the paint directly above your doorframe but otherwise is pretty much awesome and doesn't fuck up the molding on the doorway. seems useless for situps/pushups/dips though.

next get yourself some rings [www.ringtraining.com]
  •  » quote
  • yea, its removable. this thing will totally work with a door.
  •  » quote
  • don't forget to mail in for the ab straps!
  •  » quote
  • i just spent like ten minutes trying to figure out how to explain it to you.

    *snort*
  •  » quote
  • Please bump this in like a week or two -- I was thinking about ordering it, but I'm skeptical since I saw it, you know, on TV.
  •  » quote
  • my college roommate had a similar ab roller thing, it was pretty useful but we, like Jim, were living on a steady diet of 7-11 Big Gulps, Bud Light and Jack In The Box
  •  » quote
  • i could probably credit the ab roller with ensuring that i was only slightly overweight instead of very overweight. thanks, ab roller
  •  » quote
  • i had one of those years ago, but my last few apts and house had door molding too large. i gave it away about 4 years ago...
  •  » quote
  • yah i've wanted to get this but i believe my door frame would be too weak. but its a great product. people waste money on the gym when all they really need to do do the exercises this allows you to do
  •  » quote
  • i have nothing to say in here but i'm just gunna go ahead and dot it for lol's.
  •  » quote
  • the ab roller is a bunch of bullshit

  • I think you guys aren't properly understanding the physics behind the iron gym.
  •  » quote
  • I'm fine with my soloflex machine, thank you very much
  •  » quote
  • staples how strong a door frame does one need to support this?

  • Your door frame must be able to withstand 1.21 gigawats of pressure.

because you're supposed to laugh at everything he says even if it isn't funny or he'll break your cheekbone?

  • ok, if you look in the picture on the top, there are cross bars that brace on the side of the door. I'm not a scientist, but I believe it transfers the weight to the sides of the door. i dunno, its fucking magic and i do pull ups on it.
  •  » quote
  • DID YOU GET THE AB STRAPS?!?
  •  » quote
  • yes. they are bullshit.
  •  » quote
  • how many pull ups can you do?
  •  » quote
  • I dunno. I'm going climbing tomorrow and haven't been in weeks so I don't want to max out on the pull up bar today. I weight 200 pounds though, so not all that many.
  •  » quote
  • if the molding on the door is too large, it will not hook on. no physics needed
  •  » quote
  • i weight about 200 too. i think 10 is a good number to go for at first.
  •  » quote
  • the commercial says it will work in any doorway, and they can't legally say that if it weren't true or they would go to jail
  •  » quote
  • I've been doing a couple on my way to the bathroom.
  •  » quote
  • i used to do pull up on the corner walking down the street shit was gangsta
  •  » quote
  • yes, any doorway, that excludes the molding, which was put on after.
  •  » quote
  • you guys gonna compare cocks now
  •  » quote
  • I'm sure you could modify your molding to fit the iron gym.
  •  » quote
  • i would have to remove it and put 2" molding on. i currently have 4" molding...
  •  » quote
  • i have 8" molding...
  •  » quote
  • Yo. Put that shit on your window frame and do pull ups outside.
  •  » quote
  • i see zero reason to think that 4" molding would not work. look at the picture, dude! if the molding was higher, you just move it up a little. i mean like bill i am no scientist, and you ARE a scientist, but i still think you are wrong
  •  » quote
  • the curved metal part is not long enough and it hits the door frame, which prevents it from locking on top of the molding. i owned it. it work on standard molding, but not the really old/large molding.
  •  » quote
  • sounds like the problem is that you are a pussy.
  •  » quote
  • well sir, i concede defeat. i guess you will have to make do with large molding and small pecs
  •  » quote
  • ab rollers are actually a really good way to build core strength.

check out this dude's [www.beastskills.com] website on bodyweight exercises

i can do about 10 dead hangs and 25 kip pullups unbroken. working on the butterfly kip

  •  » quote
  • haha that looks intense but if you are a beginner and try doing that exercise with the ab wheel you could pretty easily cave your own face in
  •  » quote
  • hey, fuck that guy.
  •  » quote
  • yeah, that's why that blue ab slider thing up there is good. it's got a spring mechanism that helps push you back up a bit, so you can start using it right away with proper form, etc. that wheel on a stick thing, which I also had, is not for beginners. I actually hurt my lower back using the plain wheel on a stick ab roller device.
