Dude's fought in Vietnam and is poisoned by the depression drugs they give out at the VA. He had a wife and kids in Butte, MT, but when he and the wife moved to Utah, they both discovered swinging and he's not sure if he's the father of his youngest. He moved to the state of Brooklyn after being evicted from his public storage locker in Manhattan. He lives at that shady hostel on Broadway, across the street from Misha's.

He's very lucid when he speaks, but he does rant about sex and morality. After he turned 55, though, he stopped being sexual. He may be the Jewish messiah - moshiach. He thinks one of his parents was Jewish. His dad was kicked out of the military for something or other.

Just watch the darn thing because it really is interesting. Then you'll have something to talk about the next time he buys a can opener or s'thing at your store.

  • good summary. also, all of the painful experiences of his life were a result of being a sexual object. nothing sucks now that he doesnt wanna fuck anymore.

  • oh, and he cought a felony assault charge for shutting a restaurant's window on some dude's arm because they were playing their music too loud (entertaining the sidewalk).

  • well, I finally watched this, and while he's clearly very lonely and very mentally ill, he's also very clearly a fundamentalist, racist, anti-semite. It's sorta sad but before people continue to romanticize him as this "colorful neighborhood character", they need to listen to the fucking garbage he's spewing.

  • and another thing, I don't believe half of that shit about his background. I'll bet there's a lot of facts/details he's leaving out. Like he just stopped home to say hello to mom and she drove him to a mental institution just for, ya know, for shits and giggles.

  • I don't remember the details at all, but someone in that defunct card shop once told me she'd known him for a while (I thought she said she grew up with him, but guess not), and the loss of family, etc. was something she mentioned.

he's still a dick, though, if you listen to what he's saying.

    Way to go Idontbelong!

Can i put this on my resume?

Also, I think it was wrong to include LaDouceur's full ss# on the video. Idontcare if he's on public aide or not, that's private business and a sane person would not likely divulge that information. For Gothamist to pick it up and blast it to the world is also ethically questionable.
  •  » quote
  • I hear you, but anyone who knows your name can get your SSN for $25.
  •  » quote
  • Anyone who knows me can punch me in the face for free. That doesn't make it cool to do so. If the guy was sane and he let his ss# go on an interview, then that's his business. (And even that Identity-Lock guy who declares his ss# on the radio comes off as a bit loony to me.)

But the whole premise of this video was: Who's that crazy guy shouting on Bedford? I'm sure it was just an oversight, still it does bothers me as exploitive. It was a poor editing decision.
